If you are planning to hire a minibus with a driver in Silesia and wondering how much it costs – you have come to the right place. This article explains current rates, the factors that affect the price, and gives example quotes for popular routes.
Minibus hire costs depend on several factors. We quote in two ways depending on the nature of the booking:
| Billing type | Rate | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Per-kilometre | 2.30 – 3.50 PLN / km | 200 PLN |
| Hourly disposal | 160 PLN / h | 2 hours |
| Driver waiting time | 60 PLN / h | – |
| Night surcharge (10pm–6am) | +20% | – |
| Weekend / public holiday surcharge | +20% | – |
Minimum fare: 200 PLN
Every trip, regardless of distance, costs at least 200 PLN per minibus. Shorter journeys within the same city are billed on an hourly basis.
Our per-kilometre rate is not flat. It works in tiers, much like income tax bands – each band of the journey is priced separately, so a longer trip works out cheaper per kilometre:
| Distance band | Rate per km | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| first 100 km | 3.50 PLN | local journeys within the metro area |
| 101 – 250 km | 3.00 PLN | regional airport transfers |
| 251 – 500 km | 2.60 PLN | mountains, seaside, major cities |
| over 500 km | 2.30 PLN | cross-country and international |
How this works in practice
A 300 km route does not cost 300 × 2.60 PLN. The first 100 km are charged at 3.50 PLN, the next 150 km at 3.00 PLN, and only the final 50 km at 2.60 PLN. This means the price always rises with distance – a longer journey will never come out cheaper than a shorter one.
The effect is that the average rate falls as the route grows. A journey within the metro area is billed at 3.50 PLN per kilometre, a transfer to Kraków-Balice averages 3.26 PLN, a trip to the Tatra mountains about 3.04 PLN, and a run to Warsaw comes in under 2.80 PLN per kilometre.
How we count the kilometres
The mileage covers the full route the minibus actually drives: from our depot to your pickup point, on to the destination, and back again. We do not charge for the approach separately – it is already included in the quoted distance. Where the driver waits and brings the same passengers back, we count depot → pickup → destination → pickup → depot.
Toll road charges (motorways, vignettes) are not included and are added at cost.
The exact price depends on your route, timing, number of stops and any special requirements. Use the calculator on our homepage to get an instant estimate.
Enter the distance or trip duration and see an indicative price straight away.
Calculate route cost →The longer the route, the higher the total cost – but the lower the rate on each individual kilometre, thanks to the tiers described above. Mileage is counted as a full loop: the drive from base to your pickup point, the journey to the destination, and the return to base.
Trips during night hours (10pm–6am) carry a 20% surcharge. The same surcharge applies at weekends and on public holidays. Where a night trip falls on a weekend, both apply and total 44%.
If the minibus waits and takes the same passengers back (an appointment, shopping, a day trip), we add 60 PLN for each hour of waiting. That is lower than the full 160 PLN/h disposal rate, because the driver waits in one place rather than running journeys.
When collecting passengers from several locations (e.g. different districts or neighbouring cities), additional kilometres for the detour are added.
The quickest way is to use the price calculator on our homepage – enter the distance or trip duration and you will instantly see an indicative price. Then fill in the contact form and we will get back to you within a few hours.
